One Way To Pay For Health Coaching That You Should Know About Today.

I get to meet a lot of wonderful people with an interest in coaching through networking events. As I meet with people who are interested in my 1:1 coaching services, I keep getting the same question. So here's the answer and something you should definitely know!!

People want to know how to pay for health coaching sessions. Here's how:

One of the questions I get asked often about health and wellness coaching is- do you take insurance? My answer is, unfortunately no. No health coach can. Health coaching is not a reimbursable service at this time, BUT the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaches is working hard on that so that we may take health insurance in the near future. We have a taxonomy code which is a step in the right direction demonstrating the importance of the health coach role in healthcare. In the meantime, know that I try very hard to make health coaching affordable and accessible.

Now, there's something you should know!

Some Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) can pay for health coaching services. Isn't that wonderful?!? All you have to do is call your FSA/HSA people to find out if health coaching is a reimbursable service through your plan!

Here's why this is timely!

Some FSA funds may not roll into next year, so use them while you can!
